Getting the HTTPSession object

It isoften useful to be able to get an instance of the HTTPSession object and to set its attributes. The following code snippet shows you how to get a session object and set one of its properties:

var request = reportContext.getHttpServletRequest();
var session = request.getSession();
session.setAttribute("ReportAttribute", myAttribute);

The report context object is available to every event handler. In a JavaScript event handler, the report context object is named reportContext. In a Java event handler, the report context object is passed as an argument to the handler method.
